VpnTrackr(“we”, “us”) operates this site from India and serves readers worldwide. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible and to be transparent about what we do collect.
Last updated 2026-05-18. This policy is a plain-English summary of how we handle data and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied on for compliance purposes.
1. What we collect
We collect two categories of information: data you give us, and data we measure from your visit.
- Data you give us. Your email address, name, and any free-text message if you write to us at editorial@vpntrackr.com.
- Data measured from your visit. Through an aggregate-analytics provider: pages viewed, time on page, referrer, approximate location (country / region), device type, browser, and operating system. Through our edge / DNS provider: request logs containing IP address and user agent, kept short-term for security and abuse mitigation.
- Tools you run on this site. Our free network tools (IP check, DNS leak, WebRTC leak, speed test, kill-switch test, latency map) read information from your browser session in order to function. Those results stay in your browser and are never sent to or stored by us, except as needed to compute the test (for example, the speed-test endpoint serves you bytes but does not log the result).
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising or data broker pixels on this site.
2. How we use it
- To run, maintain, and improve the site (analytics, performance, debugging).
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To meet legal obligations when properly compelled.
3. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR / DPDP)
- Legitimate interest — minimal analytics to understand which pages are useful, and edge logs to keep the site online.
- Consent — where required by your jurisdiction, for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings.
- Performing a contract / handling requests — when you write to us.
- Legal obligation — when required to retain or disclose data by applicable law.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We use a single aggregate-analytics provider to understand which pages readers find useful, and a content-delivery network that may set short-lived security cookies to distinguish humans from automated traffic. We do not run advertising, fingerprinting, or retargeting cookies. See the cookie policy for the category-level breakdown.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the categories of service providers that help us run the site:
- Edge hosting — serves the public pages and our API routes.
- Content-delivery network & DNS — routing, caching, basic security, and media storage.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymised page-view and engagement metrics.
- Managed database — stores editorial content (reviews, articles, settings); does not store visitor data.
Every processor is bound by a written data-processing agreement and processes data only on our instructions. We will not sell, rent, or trade your data. We may disclose data when required by law, when responding to a valid legal process, or to protect the safety of users. Reviewers and regulators can request the named list of current sub-processors by writing to the contact address below.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved safeguards.
7. Retention
- Analytics data — up to 14 months in the aggregate-analytics provider.
- Edge logs — short-term, typically 7 days, for security.
- Email correspondence — until the inquiry is resolved, plus a reasonable archive period.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email editorial@vpntrackr.com. We respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first.
9. Children
This site is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use HTTPS site-wide, hashed passwords, short-lived session tokens, and the access controls our hosting and database providers offer. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators within the timeframes the law requires.
11. Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The current version is always at this URL, with the “last updated” date at the top.
