Kill switch test
Verifies that your VPN's kill switch actually blocks traffic when the tunnel drops. We simulate a disconnect and report leaks.
We’ll snapshot your IP with the VPN connected, then ask you to disconnect. If your real IP shows up after that, the kill switch let traffic through.
What this test actually does.
The probes, the servers, the assumptions — exposed up front so you know what the result means.
We snapshot your IP with the VPN connected, then you manually drop the VPN. We poll your IP every 1.2 seconds — if your real IP shows up before the OS blocks egress, the kill switch failed. If all 20 seconds of probes fail (network blocked), it's working.
